ACCEL Schools LLC’s Academy of Arts & Technology in Marion, Ohio is seeking a qualified 6th-8th Grade Math Teacher to deliver engaging, standards-based instruction and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports student learning and social-emotional development.

The teacher will differentiate instruction, maintain accurate records of student progress, use research-based practices, integrate technology, collaborate with colleagues, communicate with families, and participate

Qualifications

• Active and current state of Ohio teaching license in appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• Experience working within an urban environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver lesson plans with the ability to modify accordingly during the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of students’ progress and development.
• Utilize research-based best practices in daily planning and classroom instruction.
• Manage student behavior in the classroom.
• Create a positive classroom environment for students to learn in.
• Utilize school approved curricula that reflects the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students.
• Communicate and meet with families regarding the academic and social-emotional growth of their child.
• Incorporate technology skills into daily classroom practice to support learning.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
