Job summary

100Hires, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Production Supervisor to support daily manufacturing operations, coordinate production activities, and back up the Production Supervisor.

The role focuses on safety, quality, and timely workflow on a 5th shift (Fri-Sun, 6:45 PM - 6:45 AM). Responsibilities include guiding operators, material handlers, and setup personnel, training staff, conducting quality checks, and maintaining production documentation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily production activities and fill in for the Supervisor during absences.
• Coordinate operators, material handlers, and setup personnel to maintain efficient workflow.
• Assign work based on production priorities, staffing, and operator availability.
• Train and support employees while ensuring procedures are followed safely and accurately.
• Perform first-piece/first-article inspections and ongoing quality checks.
• Assist setup personnel with improving setup accuracy and changeover times.
• Ensure accurate production and quality documentation.
• Issue work orders for setups and changeovers and assist with operator scheduling.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure employees have the necessary materials, tools, and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow all company safety and quality requirements.
• Communicate machine, job, and production status with other shifts and management.
• Assist with equipment and material organization and inventory management.
