Job summary

Cole Academy in East Lansing is hiring a Full-Time Upper Elementary Teacher to join our team. The 5th Grade Teacher will create a nurturing, standards-based classroom and deliver engaging lessons while monitoring student progress.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field.
Michigan teaching certificate with endorsement for the grade level.
Strong understanding of child development and effective teaching strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with standards.
Assess student performance using tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development.
Participate in school activities, meetings and events to support the school mission.
