Job summary

Cottonwood Community School is seeking a 5th Grade Teacher to implement district standards and foster a positive learning environment. You will plan engaging lessons, assess progress, and collaborate with colleagues and families to support student growth.

Starting salary is up to $52,000 with base pay plus performance incentives; experience credits of up to 20 years may apply. This full-time position includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance and ASRS retirement benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate and appropriate subject endorsement.
• Current IVP Fingerprint clearance.
• Ability to apply district curriculum standards and instructional strategies.
• Strong communication with teachers, administrators, parents and students.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction aligned to district standards and objectives.
• Maintain a positive classroom environment and manage behavior.
• Plan lessons using district-adopted textbooks and resources.
• Incorporate higher-level thinking and real-life applications.
• Assess student achievement and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Maintain accurate student records and communicate progress to families.
• Collaborate with staff to meet diverse student needs.
• Promote safety and a conducive learning atmosphere.
