Job Overview

This role involves providing educational and nurturing services for students in designated grades, aligning with federal, state, and district standards, requirements, laws, and regulations, within the HCCSC Master Contract.

Qualifications

• Valid Indiana teaching license for the grade level and/or subject assigned.
• Knowledge of HCCSC principles, theories, practices, procedures, and techniques used in lesson plan development and classroom instruction.

Essential Functions

• Develop and implement lesson plans based on district curriculum and instructional frameworks, adhering to standards and regulations.
• Create engaging, culturally proficient learning experiences.
• Demonstrate content knowledge, effective pedagogy, and familiarity with Response to Intervention processes.
• Analyze student assessment data to tailor instruction.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with accountability requirements.
• Report student achievement data following grading guidelines.
• Maintain a respectful, brain-compatible classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behavior and organize physical space for optimal learning.
• Deliver explicit instruction, model expectations, and monitor student practice.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• Engage students through effective questioning and discussions.
• Provide timely feedback to students and parents.
• Assess and support students with learning, behavioral, or conflict issues, including special programs.
• Participate in collaboration and professional development.
• Supervise instructional support staff as assigned.
• Perform other duties as needed by administration.
