Ascension Catholic Academy invites applications for a 5th Grade teacher at St. Pascal Regional Catholic School on the east side of St. Paul.

The ideal candidate loves working with elementary students, is a team player, and supports Catholic values in a faith-filled community. Responsibilities include planning lessons in core subjects, fostering an inclusive classroom, communicating with families, assessing progress, and leading prayer and religious activities.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching elementary school age children.
• Ability to plan and teach core subjects following diocesan guidelines and standards.
• Ability to lead daily prayer and faith-based discussions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach engaging lessons in Mathematics, Language Arts, Science and Social Studies that follow diocesan guidelines and grade-level standards while weaving in Catholic values.
• Foster a welcoming, inclusive classroom environment that celebrates diversity and helps students develop academic, social, and spiritual skills.
• Partner with families through conferences and updates to support student growth and strengthen school-home connections.
• Assess and document student progress using developmentally appropriate methods and adjust instruction to meet individual needs.
• Lead daily prayer, religious activities, and faith-based discussions appropriate for 5th grade.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration to maintain positive school culture and instructional consistency.
• Engage in professional development to contribute to academic excellence in an urban, faith-filled environment.
