Role Mission: IDEA Academy math teachers are responsible for ensuring that every IDEA student masters the academic and social skills necessary to succeed in college, while also embodying IDEA’s values daily.

In addition, IDEA Academy teachers set ambitious goals for student achievement, create a powerful learning environment, plan and deliver rigorous instruction, assess for mastery, track progress, analyze data for intervention, and seek excellence as educators and team members. The content is state-assessed for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.

What We Offer

Compensation

• The starting salary for teachers with 0 years of experience is $56,500. This role qualifies for stipends based on certifications, credentials, and campus leadership, ranging from $500 to $4,000. Opportunities for additional earnings include a Teacher Career Pathway with potential extra compensation up to $10,000. Visit our benefits page for more details.
• Additional hourly pay is provided for after-school tutoring or Saturday school as assigned.

Qualifications

• High content proficiency evidenced by certification, field of study, or experience
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
• Experience in a K-12 classroom preferred
• Licenses/Certifications: Must meet TEA requirements; bilingual and ESL certifications preferred but not required
