Job summary

HII Mission Technologies Division seeks a 5th‑Gen Simulation Software Integration Engineer to support FIAB capabilities for the F‑22 and/or F‑35 in the JSE at the Joint Integrated Test and Training Center – Nellis, NV. You will join an on‑site engineering team delivering high‑end advanced tactics, training, and testing for government personnel.

Qualifications

• 5 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's in a related field; 3 years with a Masters in related field; 0 years with PhD or JD; or a high school diploma with 9 years relevant experience.
• Experience in software development and software design.
• Professional experience supporting or integrating 5th-gen fighter mission systems, avionics, sensor fusion, LO behaviors, or synthetic environment representations (F-22 and/or F-35).
• Experience integrating complex software systems or simulation components in distributed or real-time environments. Ability to modify, debug, and troubleshoot C++ and/or Python code within simulation frameworks.
• Experience with software interfaces, middleware, plug-ins, APIs, or data models used to connect simulation components.
• Proficiency in Linux command-line environments.
• Strong communication, documentation, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Current or active Top Secret clearance within the last 24 months; ability to obtain TS/SCI and SAP/SAR clearances.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for the JSE training systems at Nellis AFB.
• Support FIAB operations by monitoring system performance and ensuring stable execution within JSE.
• Troubleshoot FIAB issues by reviewing FIAB source code and JSE Platform Plugin code.
• Integrate 5th-gen FIAB mission-system models, sensor models, interfaces, and avionics behaviors into the JSE.
• Develop enhancements, resolve defects, and optimize FIAB software performance.
• Integrate FIAB capabilities with other JSE and non-JSE platforms in synthetic environments.
• Document, report, and track deficiencies related to FIAB and JPP components.
• Collaborate with Government stakeholders, pilots and SMEs for reliable, high-fidelity synthetic testing.
