Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a 5G PHY engineer to design, implement, test, and optimize PHY layer solutions. You will work on real-time signal processing using GPUs, validate with industry tools, and contribute to AI/ML driven approaches for system performance. A Secret clearance may be required.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, independent work with guidance, and collaboration with engineers across teams in a mission-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in 5G NR/LTE PHY Layer development.
• Experience with Python, C, C++, or MATLAB.
• Experience with GPUs for real-time PHY processing and performance optimization.
• Experience in debugging and performance tuning of PHY layer implementations.
• Experience in 5G PHY testing and validation with industry tools.
• Experience developing AI/ML algorithms for real-time signal processing.
• Knowledge of 3GPP specs 38.211–38.214 and compliance.
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.

• Design, install, configure, and maintain IT infrastructure to meet business needs.
• Monitor and troubleshoot problems in the IT environment.
• Apply functional knowledge to develop or contribute to solutions for moderate scope problems.
• Review or guide activities of more junior employees.
