Job summary

Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract 5G IOT/Lab Test Engineer position located in Overland Park, KS.

Responsibilities include reading carrier interoperability test plans, performing 4G/5G feature tests on devices, coordinating with network engineers, and compiling status reports. Requires a Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience and hands-on device-testing/logging software knowledge. Onsite work preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on device-testing and logging software experience are preferred.
• Familiarity with LTE/5G NR NSA/SA KPIs, signaling, IMS, and call flows.
• Ability to work in a team with cross-functional coordination and tight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand carrier interoperability test-plan requirements with technical details.
• Perform 4G/5G feature test-plan on devices ensuring steps are executed correctly.
• Collaborate with network engineers to ensure parameters and test steps are accurate.
• Assist with basic cellular log analysis to determine pass/fail.
• Track issues to resolution and provide updates twice daily.
• Compile and share execution status reports regularly.
• Communicate critical issues/bugs in real time to the team.

Job Title: 5G IOT/Lab Test Engineer Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract 5G IOT/Lab Test Engineer with our client located in Overland Park, KS.

Job Responsibilities:

• Read and understand carrier interoperability test-plan requirements with required technical details.
• Carefully perform 4G/5G feature test-plan on device ensuring all steps are executed properly.
• Work with network engineer to ensure required parameters and test-steps are performed accurately.
• Support basic cellular log analysis to determine pass/fail.
• Track the issues to full resolution and closure.
• Compile and share reports to update execution status on twice a day cadence.
• Communicate critical issues/bugs in real-time internally.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelors’ degree with 2+ years’ relevant experience.
• Some hands-on experience with device-testing/logging software e.g. o Shannon-DM, TEMS, QXDM, ELT, Accuver XCAP etc.
• Hands-on experience in performing carrier test-plan for lab/field IOT Basic knowledge of LTE/5G NR NSA/SA including KPIs, signaling, IMS and call flows.
• Ability to work in a team environment with cross-functional coordination and challenging schedules.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Contract

Pay Range: $60-$65/hr.

Location: Overland Park, KS (Onsite)
