Summary:

Assemble and ensure all orders to be shipped are accurate, intact, have proper paperwork attached, and are sent via the appropriate carrier.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Get customers' orders together by inducting freight into the system (throwing cops and bops), pulling fops, and scanning cartons to the appropriate dock spot.
  2. Scan bags and non-conveyorizable cartons.
  3. Wrap and restage completed dock pallets.
  4. Work with the shipping office to obtain the necessary documents needed to send out the order.
  5. Report all problems to the supervisor.
  6. Operate warehouse vehicles to load shipments on trucks.
  7. Sweep and clean the shipping dock after trucks are loaded and prepare it for the following day.
  8. Perform additional duties as assigned by the lead or supervisor.

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Skills Required:
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. for extended periods.
  • Ability to operate Walkie Riders, Hand Electric Trucks, and Counterbalance Trucks.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • High school level math skills.
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven work ethic.
  • Good attendance record.
  • Ability to operate a hand-held (RF) computer.
  • Troubleshooting ability.
  • Knowledge of PC and RF systems is helpful.
Education and Experience:

At least a high school diploma or equivalent.
