We are seeking an energetic and outgoing Wound Care Clinical Sales Specialist to join our expanding team of industry experts. This role involves providing clinical expertise related to sales and marketing initiatives, serving as a field-based clinical resource for customers, end-users, and internal teams across all DeRoyal Wound Care product lines, including Advanced Wound Care, General Wound Care, Burn Care, and Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT).
Responsibilities
- Support Sales Representatives at key accounts by promoting DeRoyal’s wound care products and assisting with clinical questions and optimal product use for patient outcomes.
- Develop and maintain clinical relationships with targeted accounts through ongoing consultation and strategic efforts to grow DeRoyal’s Wound Care business.
- Act as a clinical liaison, providing feedback and addressing concerns about DeRoyal’s Wound Care products to internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and problem-solving.
- Collaborate with Sales Representatives to create, present, and implement NPWT product evaluations and presentations to ensure clinical acceptance.
- Coordinate with hospital clinicians to develop educational tools, programs, and in-service presentations tailored to their needs.
- Deliver clinical presentations to hospital executive teams to secure evaluation approvals.
- Provide education and ongoing support on NPWT to hospital staff, including doctors, WOCNs, discharge planners, and other departments.
- Assist hospitals and clinics in creating policies and procedures for NPWT product use, establishing benchmarks for success.
- Maintain presence during NPWT dressing changes during evaluation and conversion phases.
- Ensure ethical conduct and proper documentation of clinical trials.
- Maintain professional credentials and stay updated with the latest wound care practices through literature review and participation in relevant organizations.
- Meet vendor credentialing requirements within the assigned territory.
- Provide clinical guidance, address customer complaints, and propose solutions.
- Assist in internal and external training, clinical research, and product development initiatives.
- Develop and conduct clinical education programs for internal and external audiences across all Wound Care products.
- Work with team members to ensure training is current, relevant, and aligned with industry trends and corporate initiatives.
- Synthesize study data into user-friendly formats for sales and training use.
- Collaborate to develop white papers, case studies, and research to validate product efficacy and financial benefits.
- Support new product development and provide feedback on product literature.
- Participate in after-hours NPWT support as needed.
- Update sales opportunities and forecasts using CRM tools like Salesforce.com.
- Maintain organized records of customer activities, follow-ups, and reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s preferred.
- Current RN licensure required.
- Wound Care certification (WCC or CWS) required; WOCN preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Wound Care or related training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to interpret clinical literature and communicate effectively.
- Excellent presentation skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail, follow-up, and organizational skills.
- Experience with CRM platforms like Salesforce.com is preferred.
Travel
- Up to 50% domestic travel, including overnights.
- Ability to work remotely and support international travel as needed.
