Responsible for providing products and services in the deli/bakery department that meet customer requirements, including proper phone etiquette, answering questions, and communicating with management. Ensure stock levels are maintained, products are fresh and properly displayed, and health regulations and safety standards are followed. Maintain stock by retrieving products from coolers or backrooms, opening cases, and stocking shelves. Prepare baked goods such as cakes, pies, cupcakes, decorated cookies, and novelty items for display. Pack, label, and merchandise deli/bakery items according to policy. Inspect display items for quality, removing out-of-date or spoiled products. Learn and perform duties of similar positions in other departments as needed. Assist in maintaining cleanliness of work areas and floors. For full-time associates, learn and perform the responsibilities of the department manager in their absence.

Required Skills
  1. High School diploma / G.E.D. or current enrollment in high school or GED program
  2. Willingness and ability to work flexible shifts (day, evening, weekend, holiday)
  3. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
  4. At least 18 years old
  5. Authorization to work in the United States or ability to obtain it
  6. Ability to obtain food safety certification
  7. Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
