Job summary

East Grand School District’s Granby Elementary School is seeking a Special Ed Paraprofessional (GES) in Granby, Colorado for a part-time/term role. The paraprofessional will support students with significant needs and assist teachers with daily instructional activities, including on bus routes.

Starting immediately, this position requires two years of higher education or an associate degree, plus a formal assessment showing ability to assist in reading, writing, and math.

Qualifications

Description: Full Time Paraposition provides classroom and school bus assistance to significant needs student population.

Job Summary: Duties are varied, depending on severity of students' needs, but include assisting both students and teachers in day-to-day instruction as well as assisting student(s) on school bus routes.

Qualifications:

• Higher Education (2 Years): Complete at least two years of study at an institution of higher education (equivalent to 48 semester hours).
• Associate Degree: Possess an associate's degree (or higher).
• Formal Assessment: Pass a valid and reliable formal academic assessment demonstrating knowledge of and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and math (such as the ETS ParaPro or ACT WorkKeys)

Working Conditions: Granby Elementary School serves approximately 370 students, grades Pre-K through 5, from the Granby, Grand Lake, Hot Sulphur Springs communities and beyond.
