Job summary

Force Electrical Services in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Distribution Lineman to install, repair, and maintain power lines and related equipment. You will work with a crew to ensure reliable electrical delivery while following safety procedures and standards.

The position requires apprenticeship or lineman training, the ability to work at heights and in adverse weather, and a valid driver’s license to operate heavy machinery.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience as a Distribution Lineman.
• Completion of an apprenticeship or lineman training program.
• Deep knowledge of electrical power systems, circuits and theory.
• Strong knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
• Ability to work at heights and in adverse weather conditions.
• Physical strength and stamina for heavy manual tasks.
• Valid driver’s license with ability to operate heavy machinery.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain overhead and underground power lines and related equipment.
• String new lines and splice and solder conductor cables.
• Identify and rectify power outages and electrical faults.
• Inspect and test power lines and equipment to locate problems.
• Adhere to safety practices and check equipment regularly.
• Operate power construction equipment such as diggers and aerial trucks.
• Coordinate with team members and other departments for efficient operations.
• Participate in emergency response and rotational on-call duties.
