Job summary

TrulyHired is seeking a 5-hour Lunch Cleaner to join our operations team in the district. The role supports cleaning lunchrooms, cafeterias, and related areas during the school day, with duties including tables, floors, counters, and other assigned areas.

The position requires reliability, ability to work at multiple buildings as assigned, and adherence to health safety standards. The shift runs 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, year-round, with a focus on maintaining sanitary lunch

Qualifications

• Must be willing to work at various buildings as assigned by Operations.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to perform to the District's Standard of Physical Activity with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Perform lunchroom and cafeteria cleaning duties, including cleaning tables, chairs, floors, counters, and other assigned areas.
• Assist with maintaining clean and sanitary lunchroom areas throughout the school day as assigned.
• Deep cleaning of horizontal surfaces, including but not limited to counters, desks, and bathroom fixtures.
• Deep cleaning of carpets, tile, LVT floors
• Perform high dusting in all areas of schools
• Assist with moving classroom furniture
• Assist with trash removal
• All duties and procedures are to be performed within health safety standards as per OSHA and/or MIOSHA
• Consistent and reliable attendance
• Other duties as assigned by the Custodial Supervisor

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, such as cleaning supplies, packing and unloading trucks. Occasionally the employee will lift and/or move 80 pounds, such as salt and furniture. The employees will sometimes push/pull items such as tables, bleachers, scrubbing machines, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
