A local educational service provider is seeking a full-time Classroom Assistant in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves assisting the Preschool Teacher while ensuring the safety and engagement of children aged 3 to 4. Candidates are required to have a High School Diploma or GED and ideally hold or be working towards a Child Development Associate (CDA). Qualifications

Job Location: Cafe HS - Indianapolis, IN 46226

Salary Range: $18.42 - $20.47 Hourly

The Classroom Assistant serves as an aid to the Preschool Teacher in the classroom with a direct focus on children 3 to 4 years of age. The Program Aide will work collaboratively work with the Preschool Teacher to ensure the successful operation of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the safety of all children by implementing the Family Development ServicesHead Start Active Supervision Policy.
• Foster a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere in line with State of Indiana Child Care Licensing Rules, Head Start Performance Standards, and NAEYC Accreditation Standards.
• Collaborate with the Preschool Teacher to prepare and implement lesson plans using the Creative Curriculum and TS GOLD® child assessment.
• Use TS GOLD® data to tailor the learning environment to meet each child’s individual needs.
