Job summary

Gauge Engineering Services, LLC is seeking an experienced 5-axis CNC Programmer to support precision aerospace components in Midland, Texas. You will develop, optimize, and maintain CNC programs for complex parts on 5-axis machining centers.

The role requires multi-axis programming, GD&T, blueprint interpretation, tooling optimization, and CAD/CAM software proficiency. You will collaborate with engineering, quality and production to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

Experience programming and operating 5-axis CNC machining centers.
Strong engraving/interpreting blueprints with GD&T knowledge.
Experience with CAD/CAM software, tooling optimization, feeds and speeds.
Ability to interpret engineering specifications and quality requirements.
Work collaboratively with engineering, quality and production teams.

Responsibilities

Program and operate 5-axis CNC machining centers for complex aerospace components.
Set up tooling, fixtures, workholding, and offsets for production runs.
Load, verify and validate CNC programs; monitor performance for quality.
Interpret drawings and GD&T; perform first article and in-process inspections.
Optimize feeds/speeds and toolpaths; troubleshoot machining issues.
Document travelers and production data; support continuous improvement.
