Job summary

Penske Racing South in Mooresville, NC seeks a skilled 5-Axis CNC Machinist to manufacture precision components for NASCAR, IndyCar and IMSA programs. You will operate 4- and 5-axis machines, program parts, fixture design, and maintain the highest quality standards in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.

Responsibilities include planning machining jobs from schedules and drawings, Mazatrol programming, toolholding setup, fixture design, maintaining tooling and inventory, and ensuring

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in machining preferred.
• 1 year minimum CNC operating experience.
• Mazatrol experience is a plus.
• Ability to setup, prove out and run CNC machines and fixtures.
• Proficient with precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of work holding and tooling in CNC environment.
• Good math skills and basic computer skills.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work flexible hours.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Produce parts to deadlines with a quality finish.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture parts with CNC machines and ensure quality procedures.
• Plan machining jobs from work schedules, engineering drawings and CAD.
• Program new parts and modifications using Mazatrol as needed.
• Set up tooling and fixtures; determine work holding.
• Design and manufacture fixtures and work holding.
• Anticipate tooling and material needs; place orders as needed.
• Maintain equipment and perform preventative maintenance per requirements.
• Keep area clean and maintain safety standards.
• Arrive on time and work overtime or weekends as necessary.
• Take ownership and be dependable and professional.
