Hi-Tech Mold & Engineering, Inc. in Rochester Hills, MI is seeking a 5-axis CNC Machinist for the night shift. You will set up, program, and operate 5-axis CNC centers to produce high-quality injection molds, perform adjustments, and ensure dimensional accuracy.

The role requires strong blueprint reading and tool selection skills. The position emphasizes collaboration with engineering and quality teams, along with routine maintenance and adherence to safety standards.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of CNC machining experience.
• Understand all aspects of 2D and 3D machining.
• Experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens, Haas, Mazak, or similar CNC controls.
• Ability to read CAD blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
• Proficiency with precision measuring and inspection equipment.

Mansioni

• Set up and operate 5 axis machines to manufacture injection molds.
• Read and interpret CAD blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Select, install, and adjust cutting tools, fixtures, and machine parameters.
• Monitor machine operations and make program or offset adjustments as needed to maintain dimensional accuracy.
• Measure and inspect molds using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot machining issues related to tooling, machine performance, quality, and production efficiency.
• Maintain production records, quality documentation, and job setup sheets.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve processes and productivity.
• Assist in training less experienced machinists and operators as needed.
