Job Summary

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment within the warehouse facility. This role involves routine cleaning, waste management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Custodians utilize an eye for detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness to perform physical tasks efficiently.

SHIFT SCHEDULE

• Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with possible scheduled overtime
• Starting wage is $22.00/hr (including a $2.00/hr shift differential) with potential raises up to $0.88 every 6 months

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors throughout the warehouse
• Clean restrooms, break rooms, and office areas regularly
• Wipe down surfaces and equipment for dust control
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables per protocols
• Maintain waste bins and recycling receptacles
• Follow health and safety guidelines and report hazards
• Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies
• Organize cleaning equipment and assist with setup/cleanup for events
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks
• Ensure efficiency, accuracy, and quality standards
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment and collaborate with team members
• Adhere to company policies and support departmental goals
• Flex into other roles as needed to support operations

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day
• Communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing
• Use hands for grasping and manipulations
• Bend, squat, crawl, climb, and reach regularly
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 75 lbs regularly

Experience

• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED, or equivalent
