Webstaurantstore is hiring a Custodian to maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment. You will perform routine cleaning, waste management, and ensure health and safety compliance while supporting daily operations with attention to detail.

The role requires reliability, basic maintenance skills, and the ability to work a Friday–Sunday shift. Benefits and competitive hourly pay are offered.

Qualifications

No degree required; relevant skills and reliability valued.
Minimum 1 year in distribution environment preferred.
Ability to follow safety guidelines.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to keep the warehouse clean.
Clean restrooms, break rooms, and office areas regularly.
Wipe down surfaces and equipment to reduce dust buildup.
Dispose of trash and recyclables per local protocols.
Maintain waste bins and recycling receptacles and replace as needed.
Follow health and safety guidelines for a safe workplace.
Report hazards or maintenance needs to leadership.
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies inventory.
Organize and store cleaning equipment in designated areas.
Assist with setup and cleanup for warehouse events or meetings.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as required.

Job Summary

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized environment within the warehouse facility. This role involves routine cleaning, waste management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Custodians utilize an eye for detail and a proactive approach to cleanliness to perform physical tasks efficiently.

SHIFT SCHEDULE & WAGE

Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM
Starting wage is $22.00/hr and a potential of up to $0.88 in raises every 6 months

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors to ensure cleanliness throughout the warehouse.

Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables according to local protocols and expectations
Maintain waste bins and recycling receptacles, ensuring timely removal and replacement
Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
Report any safety hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance requests to leadership
Monitor and replenish inventory levels of cleaning supplies
Organize and store cleaning equipment and materials in designated areas
Assist with setup and cleanup for warehouse events or meetings
Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed
Meet all expected performance standards regarding efficiency, accuracy and quality of work
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by following all safety guidelines and reporting any hazards to the appropriate leadership.
Work closely with team members and leadership to meet daily, weekly, and monthly departmental goals
Abide by all company and warehouse policies
Flex into other positions and departments and undertake additional duties as necessary to support the overall operation

Physical Requirements

Work is performed while standing and/or walking, up to and including 12 hours/day.
Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
Requires regular bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
Requires the ability to regularly lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 75lbs.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a distribution environment preferred but not required
