Candidate must be student-centered and have the ability to work collaboratively with the grade level team to increase equitable student opportunities and outcomes through standards-based instruction. Individual must encourage higher level, independent and creative thinking as well as problem solving. Applicant needs to be able to implement best instructional practices through a culturally responsive lens via Humanities (Reading & Writing, Social Studies) and STEM (Balanced Math, Science, Project Lead the Way), and be able to integrate technology into the curriculum. Teacher must build an inclusive classroom community and commit to culturally responsive practices, data analysis and excellent classroom management. The Candidate must also have outstanding written and verbal communication skills for family/community interaction.
