Job description

About Invent Learning Hub

Invent Learning Hub is an innovative new approach to traditional public education. In the fall of 2019, ILH opened its doors to 100 elementary students who would become part of an experience‑driven curriculum. Through our Design Thinking and Pathways courses, students learn the skills and mindsets needed for livable‑wage careers in the 21st century. These programs, combined with our rigorous math and ELA curriculum, place our students on a path for success that they carry on past their days at ILH.

What We Value & Believe

Invent Learning Hub welcomes all candidates who believe that each child, no matter his or her circumstances, has the ability to meet and exceed expectations. We believe that classroom teachers are the biggest factor in the success of a school and in the lives of our students. Our goal is to provide an environment that supports our staff while maintaining high expectations for professionalism and rigor. We are building an educational environment where joy, challenge, and innovation intersect. We believe the cycle of generational poverty can be broken, and we believe it begins with us.

Who We Seek

We are seeking a diverse, innovative, and inspiring set of classroom leaders who can balance the rigor of our curriculum with a passion for learning. Responsibilities
  • Establish an exemplary classroom culture built on human‑centered respect for all students and staff.
  • Internalize and deliver well‑organized, rigorous lessons that ensure all students meet their academic goals.

  • Build trust and community by leading weekly mentor groups focused on developing social and emotional skills and supporting students’ SEL needs.
  • Maintain timely and frequent communication with parents and stakeholders, building meaningful relationships.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and maintain a school culture that focuses on human‑centered solutions and supports every member of the team through weekly staff SEL circles.
  • Ensure all interactions with staff, students, parents, and stakeholders exhibit a commitment to professionalism and human‑centeredness.
  • Collaborate with staff to integrate Design Thinking principles into all curriculum and develop cross‑curricular units of study.
  • Support student recruitment, enrollment, and retention activities as needed.
Required Education, Credentials & Experience
