BASIS Jack Lewis Jr is seeking qualified candidates for a 4th Grade English/Writing Teacher for the 2025/2026 School Year. Start Date: July 17, 2025.

The role of the Subject Expert Teacher (SET) is to ensure exceptional education by preparing and facilitating subject-specific lesson plans. SETs implement the BASIS Curriculum while tailoring topics to their expertise and passion for the subject.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject matter or 24+ credit hours in applicable subject with other degree
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in subject matter or education
• 2+ years teaching or education experience

Essential Functions

• Prepare and facilitate subject and grade-specific lesson plans
• Provide instruction above grade level in an interactive environment to achieve exceptional results
• Implement the BASIS Curriculum with creative lessons and assessments
• Collaborate with other BASIS teachers to develop curriculum and build a professional community
• Tutor students to enhance academic and career success
• Manage student behavior to foster achievement, responsibility, and respect
• Support non-instructional functions like “Early Bird,” “Late Bird,” and lunch supervision
• Maintain regular attendance
• Supervise individual and group students
