Job summary

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School in Columbia, SC is hiring a patient and compassionate 4K Lead Teacher to lead developmentally-appropriate activities for young children.

This Full-Time role focuses on healthy physical, social, and emotional development within a nurturing classroom setting. The position requires a two-year degree in early childhood or related field (with progress toward a four-year program preferred), CPR/First Aid certification, and the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree in early childhood or related field.
• CPR and First Aid Certification required.
• Background check for Child Abuse and Neglect Registry.

Responsibilities

• Follow all employer policies and procedures at all times.
• Create and implement weekly lesson plans in accordance with the First Steps 4K curriculum.
• Keep parents updated on students’ daily activities and progress.
• Communicate with families daily or weekly through writing or in person.
• Foster a classroom environment of safety and respect.
• Perform daily cleaning routines to keep facilities sanitary and safe.
• Attend required First Steps 4K and SC DSS trainings.

Education

Two-year degree in early childhood or related field
