Qualifications

• Requires 2-year associate degree or 60 semester hours or ParaPro or a 4-year degree.
• Supports students in classroom and assists teachers.
• Non-Exempt under FLSA; 185 days / 7.5 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Discusses assigned teaching area with classroom teacher to coordinate instructional efforts.
• Prepares lesson outline and plan in assigned area and submits outline to teacher for review.
• Plans, prepares, and develops teaching aids such as bibliographies, charts, and graphs.
• Assists students individually or in groups with lesson assignments to reinforce learning.
• Monitors and directs student activities in hallways, restrooms, classrooms, and campus areas.
• Escorts students to activities and oversees recess, library, and art class.
