Job summary

Leech Lake Gaming is seeking a Vault Cashier to safeguard assets on a shift basis at our Minnesota property. The role requires strict adherence to gaming regulations, math accuracy, and confidential handling of cash and documents.

The ideal candidate has at least six months of vault cashier experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. State/tribal licensing and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Six months experience as a Vault Cashier.
• Strong math and numeracy abilities.
• Good public relations and communication skills.
• Must meet licensing, background check and drug testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Adheres strictly to all gaming regulations.
• Counts all drops from Hardcount & Softcount.
• Attends all mandatory meetings and training.
• Reconciles all Jackpots, Fills, tickets and coupons on daily basis.
• Refills, verifies, and reconciles Kiosks.
• Provides Blackjack pit with chip fills & credits and maintains Table Games Summary.
• Prepares EME's for Vault Cashiers.
• Forwards all original documents to Accounting.
• Works all positions as needed.
• Prepares W2-G and 1099 forms as needed.
• Maintains all logs pertaining to Title 31 requirements.
• Accounts for all currency received or exchanged.
• Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
• Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
• Maintains confidentiality at all times.
• Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
• Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
• Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Previous vault cashier experience a must.


• Excellent mathematical, public relations and communications skills.


• Computer & 10 key knowledge helpful and understanding of equipment.


• Ability to work flexible hours, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays.


• Must meet State Compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check, and submit to random drug testing.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Physically capable of remaining on feet for long periods of time.


• Subject to internal working conditions, including a smoking environment.

EDUCATION AND SKILLS

Education Required: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)

Experience: Six months experience as a Vault Cashier

Computer Skills: Must have strong computer skills

Certificates & Licenses: Must meet Tribal/State compact licensing requirements, pass criminal background check and submit to drug testing.
