Essential Duties

The position includes, but is not limited to, the following essential job duties, responsibilities and requirements:

Leadership and Management:
  • Supervise 2 or more employees, including Assistant Managers, Lead Representatives, and Customer Service Representatives.
  • Recruit, hire, and train employees to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Manage store organization, cleanliness, and stock levels according to standards.
  • Maintain a professional image among staff and supervisors.
  • Schedule staff to optimize customer service and store appearance.
  • Apply non-discriminatory management practices in hiring, training, counseling, and separating employees.
Store Relationships:
  • Develop positive relationships with suppliers.
  • Promote excellent service and resolve customer complaints professionally.
  • Ensure regular onsite attendance.
  • Promote a safe and positive community image.
Training and Development:
  • Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback at regular intervals.
  • Train employees on customer service, store image, safety, and cash handling.
  • Ensure timely completion of all training requirements.
Communications:
  • Develop effective communication channels with staff.
  • Hold regular meetings with employees and management.
Organizing and Planning:
  • Develop action plans to meet store objectives.
  • Maintain store files and supervise report completion.
  • Ensure merchandise is properly stocked, displayed, and priced.
Financial Responsibilities:
  • Analyze sales and expenses to maximize profits.
  • Manage budgets, merchandise margins, and cash handling.
  • Report discrepancies to management.
Job Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years retail experience preferred.
  • Ability to supervise and use store equipment.
  • Proficiency with computer applications for reporting and inventory.
  • Valid driver’s license and transportation.
  • Open availability and excellent communication skills in English.
  • Ability to perform physical duties and operate a motor vehicle.
  • Food safety certifications may be required.
Physical Requirements
  • Work at least 50 hours/week, including weekends and holidays.
  • Work in varying temperatures, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physical tasks as described.
Work Environment
  • Primarily indoor work with outdoor tasks like cleaning and stocking.
  • Exposure to temperature extremes and noise.
