We have an opening for a Day Shift Warehouse DC Sanitation Material Handler Forklift Operator 2.
Summary
Maintains warehouses in clean and sanitary manner. Safely operates forklift and powered sweeping equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential functions
Cleans floor of warehouse, trailer, loading dock, and exterior areas around warehouse. Sweeps and damp-mops floors as needed. Keeps warehouse in neat and orderly fashion.
Completes Pre-Operational Checklist each day before operating lift. Reports all forklift damage or malfunction to supervisor.
Operates forklift always at a reasonable and prudent speed, watching closely for pedestrians or other motorized vehicles.
Operates forklift for trash removal.
Operates powered sweeping equipment in some job tasks.
Removes debris in warehouse. Helps with clean up of spills.
Follows safety rules and company policies.
Other duties
Performs the duties of Warehouse General Forklift Operator and Warehouse Rework Laborer upon occasion. Also receives in co-pack items, pulls samples, loads/unloads trucks.
Participates in training, employee meetings, committees, project teams, etc. as appropriate.
Receives written or verbal instructions from supervisor on above tasks and performs other work as directed by supervisor.

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
High school plus additional training preferred. Math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and fractions. Ability to speak, read and write in English strongly preferred. Certified forklift operator.

Forklift, Stretch Wrap Machine, Calculator, Air Hose, WMS Scanner, Powered Sweeping Equipment, Steel Toed Shoes.
Physical Demands
Reaching: Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.
Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a high position or moving objects horizontally from position-to-position. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discriminations in sound.
Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
The worker is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.
The worker is required to have eye/hand/foot coordination to operate forklift.
Work Environment
Works inside warehouse and outside warehouse facilities subject to significant seasonal temperature variations. fumes from forklifts. Some contact with dust, oil, ink, and grease.
