Job description

ERMC has stations in more than 200 airports. We provide a full range of ground aviation services, from ticketing and ground handling to cabin cleaning and cargo. ERMC also provides operations and maintenance for terminals and support facilities in some of the world's busiest airport locations.

Minimum Requirements
  1. Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  2. Must possess a Government ID and social security card.
  3. Must be able to obtain and keep an airport security badge.
  4. Must have or be able to attain reliable transportation.
  5. Able to work in extreme conditions, such as hot and cold weather, as well as small spaces.
  6. Able to receive appropriate security clearances after completing a criminal background check.
  7. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  8. Must be able to work extended hours depending on operational needs.
  9. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
Role and Responsibilities

The Airport Welder is responsible for performing welding and metal fabrication tasks to support airport infrastructure, facility maintenance, and equipment repair. This role ensures the safety, functionality, and structural integrity of airport assets, working in compliance with FAA regulations, safety standards, and airport policies.

  1. Perform MIG, TIG, Stick, and Arc welding on a variety of metals (steel, aluminum, stainless steel).
  2. Repair and fabricate metal components for airport infrastructure including gates, hangars, baggage systems, fencing, and signage.
  3. Inspect and maintain welding equipment and tools.
  4. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
  5. Conduct routine inspections of metal structures to detect defects or safety hazards.
  6. Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to complete projects on schedule.
  7. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  8. Adhere to local, state, and federal codes including OSHA and FAA regulations.
Candidate Qualifications
  • Familiar with the use of hand and power tools.
  • Skilled in light metal working and fabrication.
  • Skilled in the use of welding and cutting tools, oxygen acetylene torch, MIG, and TIG welding.
  • Must be a certified Welder with certification 3G or higher.
