The Merch Manager reports to the Store Manager and is responsible for all Merchandising Operations within assigned departments. Responsibilities include:

• Department layouts and adjacencies following guidelines
• Signing standards and product features
• Raceway and promotional aisle setup
• Markdowns, freight flow, loss prevention, and shrink control
• Maintenance and detail recovery of departments
• Acting as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Store and Co-Manager
• HR functions such as hiring, staffing, and paperwork
• Ensuring company policies are understood and followed

The role aims to improve store volume, profits, shrink, employee retention, and merchandising standards by meeting budgets and guidelines. Flexibility to work at different locations and possibly stay overnight for store openings, cleanups, or inventory is required. Effective communication of policies, training, and directives is essential.

Physical demands include lifting up to 40 lbs (occasionally 70 lbs), frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Transfers within the market may occur, requiring flexibility. The position involves varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
