Job summary

Gusto, Inc. seeks a dedicated 401(k) Onboarding Advocate to scale its onboarding automation program for small businesses. You will guide employers through a complex integration onto the Gusto Platform, provide proactive communication, and ensure a smooth transition post-launch with a focus on accuracy and customer success.

You will collaborate across teams to resolve blockers, leverage AI tools, and maintain strong partnerships with 401(k) providers while upholding high service standards.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional experience in retirement, payroll, financial services, or fast-paced startups.
• Curiosity about technology and willingness to learn AI tools used in the workflow.
• Data-driven with KPI-focused performance and strong customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Drive consultative outreach to keep 401(k) onboarding on track and communicate with providers.
• Partner with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and timely updates.
• Own the onboarding journey end-to-end: verify plan eligibility, collect details, and test in Pay(k)onnect before go-live.
• Qualify customers for 401(k) automation suitability and maintain documentation.
• Identify and resolve issues, improve processes, and create helpful onboarding resources.
