PURPOSE/SUMMARY:

The objective is to develop a general knowledge of all ISAT components and technologies, the seismic design and submittal process, and VDC Service Group Deliverables.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Gather/Review/Execute Vibration Isolation take offs. Communicate with Sales staff and customers to obtain all necessary information.
• Execute Estimates and supply a quote to sales force, customer, and or id Contractor in La Mirada or other designee.
• Provide and Process Layout Drawing Packages.Communicate with sales staff and customers to obtain all necessary information.
• Build Project Submittals as needed for Sales/Projects.
• Gather Information for Custom Engineering Packages.Communicate with sales staff and customers to obtain all necessary information.Submit and track required engineering packages to ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Support customers and sales-staff with technical information and troubleshooting, based on the Vibration Isolation Requirements and/or Custom Engineered package and/or ISAT Manual.
• Develop thorough knowledge of the pertinent sections of the following building codes:

o2007& 2013 CBC and 2009, 2012 and 2015 IBC

• Label Completed Drawings and File. Each day take care to label and file all completed drawings. Keep drawing storage bins clean and organized. Assist with archiving old drawings.
• Submittals.Capable of building basic Seismic submittals when provided with SDF and project deck information.Able to build submittals either in hard format (copies from the manual) or soft format (PDF documents).
• Track Project Schedules and support Project Managers for all VI (Vibration Isolation) related aspects of Projects in La Mirada.
• Ensure the timing and accurate handling of Change Orders, RFI’s, and Proposal for VI Projects in La Mirada.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or GED required

• Associate degree or technical certification preferred

• Strong communication and coordination skills

• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects

• Familiarity with construction drawings and terminology

• Willingness to learn internal systems and processes

Further Qualifications - The successful candidate must also pass a background check.
