Job summary

Nimble is seeking a Food Service Assistant to support daily school meal operations, assist with food prep and serving, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment for students and staff.

You will work with the Food Service team to ensure high-quality meal service, following safety guidelines and collaborating effectively in a fast-paced school setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Previous food service experience preferred.
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with students, staff, and coworkers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain flexible and learn all aspects of food production and service.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the dish room and on serving lines as assigned.

• Sweep, mop, and clean floors and workspaces according to established procedures.
• Transfer and handle food using commercial food service equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

• Work cooperatively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Service Manager.

This position works collaboratively with food service staff to provide high-quality meal service to students and staff.
