Job summary

MSU Extension is seeking a Genesee County 4-H Program Coordinator to lead local 4-H programs, recruit and train volunteers, and build partnerships with schools and community groups in Genesee County.

You will drive youth development initiatives, expand programming to reach diverse communities, and collaborate with district leadership to align with institute goals. Strong communication and coordination skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience in program development and management in 4-H or youth development.
• Volunteer management experience and supervision of volunteers.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and strong teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee growth and management of local 4-H programs and youth volunteers.
• Recruit, select, and train volunteers; promote MSU Extension and 4-H programs.
• Develop partnerships with schools and community groups in Genesee County.
• Prepare annual program plans and reports; manage funds for 4-H councils and clubs.
• Coordinate outreach to unreached populations and deliver programs in schools and community settings.
