Job summary

Michigan State University Extension in Macomb County seeks a Program Coordinator to lead 4-H youth development initiatives. You will recruit and train volunteers, build school and community partnerships, and expand programs across clubs, afterschool activities, and mentoring opportunities.

You will align local efforts with CYI goals, manage program growth, and communicate progress and outcomes to leadership, while promoting inclusive access for all youth in Macomb County.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and two years in program development and management in 4-H or youth development.
• Volunteer management and experience supervising volunteers.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee growth and management of 4-H programs, volunteers, and youth participants in Macomb County.
• Recruit, select, and train volunteers; follow MSU Extension Volunteer Selection Process.
• Develop partnerships with schools and community groups; expand program delivery, including clubs, afterschool, and mentoring.
