Job summary

The University System of New Hampshire's Cheshire County Extension Office in Keene and serving Durham is seeking a Program Manager to lead and develop 4-H youth programs. You will coordinate 42 volunteers across 18 clubs and partnerships, guiding youth and families to build life skills through community activities.

This role requires evening and weekend availability, strong communication, volunteer management, and the ability to manage office operations and budgets, working with Extension staff

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or human services or a related field with two years of relevant experience, or a master's degree.
• Professional or volunteer experience in educational or youth development programs.
• Effective communication and human relations skills.
• Computer skills.
• Ability to reflect thoughtfully on personal bias to be welcoming to all participants and volunteers.
• Availability to work nights and weekends.
• Valid NH driver's license with mileage reimbursement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and mobilize 42 volunteers to support 18 clubs and partnerships.
• Recruit, train, and guide new volunteers to meet program outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with civil rights, EEO, AA and ADA policies.
• Plan and coordinate county events and follow-up experiences along 4-H pathways.
• Support statewide 4-H pathway development and evaluation.
• Track enrollment, collect evaluation data, and report on program effectiveness.
• Identify professional development goals with supervisor.
