University of Wisconsin-Madison in Wisconsin is seeking an Outreach Specialist to lead the county 4-H program. This role provides leadership for program administration, volunteer management, and educational youth development programming across Lafayette County.
The 4-H Program Educator will coordinate partnerships, manage day-to-day outreach activities, and implement curriculum and materials for community youth and adults.

This position issupported by the Division of Extension - Positive Youth DevelopmentInstitute. It offers a great opportunity to strengthen connectionsand collaborations between the community and UW Madison Division ofExtension through the 4-H youth development program.
The 4-H Program Educator is part of the Division of ExtensionWisconsin 4-H program, which is housed within the Positive YouthDevelopment Institute. The 4-H Program Educator provides overallleadership and direction for a county-based 4-H Program. Thisposition includes three primary roles: 1) Program Administration 2)Volunteer Management 3) Educational youth developmentprogramming
The main office for this position is located in Darlington, WI andthe primary programming focus is Lafayette County; however, someprogramming may also be conducted over a broader geographicalarea.
It is anticipated this position requires work be performedin-person, onsite, at a designated office location.
This position may be required to work occasional nights andweekends to meet the program needs and priorities of thecommunities served.
It is expected that employees will make individual arrangements for transportation adequate to meet position responsibilities and essential job functions. The division of Extension, Positive Youth Development, Lafayette County is hiring for a 4-H Program Educator.
Extension embodies the Wisconsin Idea by developing and connecting the research and educational resources of UW–Madison with residents and communities to address local, statewide, and national issues. We teach, learn, lead and serve, transforming lives and communities.
The Extension Institute of Positive Youth Development prepares theyouth of today to become the effective, empathic adults oftomorrow. Our research-based youth enrichment programs like teensin governance build youth and adult capacity that help both sidesgrow. 4-H clubs, camps and afterschool programs give young peoplethe hands-on experiences they need to develop an understanding ofthemselves and the world.
The minimum annual (12 months) starting Salary for the position is$60,795 but is negotiable based on experience andqualifications.

Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields: Education, YouthDevelopment, Social Sciences, or Human Development
