JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The individual is responsible for providing for the safety and welfare of persons in and around the pool area and being knowledgeable on overall pool maintenance. Must be able to work as part of a team.
Qualifications:
Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. These positions require the following 3 publicly available clearances to work with youth:
Lifeguards must have current Red Cross certification and be 21 years of age to work alone. The candidate must be able to carry equipment, materials and supplies, with or without accommodation.
Work Location:
4-H Camp Shehaqua - Hickory Run State Park, White Haven PA - Luzerne County
Camp week is July 7-11, 2025. Work schedule will usually be Tuesday morning through Thursday afternoon. Daily hours will depend on swim times needed during the week.
This is a part-time wage appointment at $15/hour for actual guarding time. Room and board are provided during the camp week. The individual will be responsible to the camp directors.
