Job summary

Alternate Number Five Inc. is seeking candidates for an assembly role responsible for assembling, packing, and preparing products for shipment with emphasis on quality and efficiency.

You will follow work orders, secure packaging, label items, and maintain accurate shipment records while supporting daily production goals. The position offers a four-day work week, potential overtime, and benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, along with a retirement plan and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to support production schedules and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Previous experience in shipping, assembly, or a related field is preferred.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to read and follow packing instructions and work orders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues with assembly or packaging.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products and parts according to work orders, ensuring quality standards.
• Prepare items for shipping by securely packaging parts, labeling items, and organizing pallets.
• Operate packaging and assembly equipment safely and efficiently.
• Verify product accuracy, quantity, and quality before packing for shipment.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and maintain workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, materials used, and product inventory.
• Identify and communicate issues with inventory, materials, or equipment.
• Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of PPE.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support efficient operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
