Job summary

Black Hills Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technician with a focus on peripheral vascular and endovascular procedures. The role offers a state-of-the-art lab, a predictable 4-day schedule, and no night shifts or call requirements.

Qualifications

• RVT or RCIS certification preferred, or equivalent peripheral vascular/endovascular lab experience.
• Minimum 2 years in a cardiac cath lab or peripheral vascular/endovascular lab setting, required.
• ACLS certification required.
• Proficient with EMR and hemodynamic monitoring systems.
• Strong knowledge of vascular anatomy and imaging systems.
• Familiarity with radiation safety and sterile technique.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during peripheral vascular and endovascular procedures.
• Operate and monitor hemodynamic recording equipment during procedures.
• Prepare and maintain the procedure lab with sterile field setup and equipment readiness.
• Scrub and circulate during peripheral vascular and endovascular procedures.
• Monitor vital signs, hemodynamic data, and ECG tracings throughout procedures.
• Ensure operation/maintenance of imaging equipment (fluoroscopy/angiography).
• Document procedures and patient data in the EMR.
• Assist with patient prep, positioning, and post-procedure care.
• Maintain inventory of lab supplies and aid equipment troubleshooting.
