You will operate and set up 4/5-axis milling machines, interpret complex drawings, and ensure flight hardware meets exacting tolerances. This on-site role requires strong GD&T knowledge, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple short-run setups in a fast-paced job shop environment.

This position is based at our sister company, Vivace International Corporation's manufacturing facility in New Orleans, Louisiana. The selected candidate will work on-site at this location as part of Votaw Precision Technologies' extended manufacturing operations, supporting the production of precision‑machined components for the aerospace, defense, and industrial markets.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced 4/5 Axis Machinist to join our growing team. This position will play a crucial role in the success of our large-scale machined, end‑item projects by being responsible and fully accountable for the successful execution and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in complex machined components and flight hardware, with a thorough understanding of space‑flight structures, proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics with a keen eye for detail. This role requires a process‑oriented individual with excellent communication skills and a desire to contribute to a growing company. Previous machining and manufacturing experience in a similar job shop environment is a significant asset. This role is responsible for the operation, set‑up & utilization of the 4/5‑Axis milling machines as well as other processes used.

40+ hours onsite work week. Sitting for extended periods of time. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components.
