Votaw Precision Technologies, LLC in New Orleans, LA, seeks a highly skilled 4/5 Axis Machinist to support aerospace, defense, and industrial components. You will operate, set up, and program CNC milling machines, including 4- and 5-axis ranges, reading complex drawings and GD&T.

You will collaborate with engineering and QA to ensure first-pass success, maintain strict quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives in an ITAR-enforced environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read complex machining drawings and tolerances (GD&T).
• Experience with 4/5-axis milling and setup.
• Strong math skills and measurement interpretation.
• English communication skills required.
• Experience in aerospace prototype or job shop environments preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operate and set up CNC milling machines (4/5-axis).
• Support programming and tool selection for accurate part production.
• Read travelers, blueprints, and setup sheets to plan work.
• Use measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to ensure conformance.
• Maintain clean work area and support cross-training for team continuity.
