Job summary

True North Consultants, Inc. is partnering with a Grove City manufacturer to hire an experienced CNC Machinist (2nd Shift). You will operate 4- and 5-axis horizontal machining centers, read complex blueprints with GD&T, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

The Machinist role requires 3+ years of CNC experience, strong Fanuc control knowledge, and proficiency with precision measurement tools. Training on first shift may be provided, with emphasis on quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC machining experience, including 4- and 5-axis HMC
• Strong understanding of tooling, workholding, and metals
• Proficiency with Fanuc controls and editing G/M codes
• Ability to read complex blueprints and GD&T
• Proficient with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques

Responsibilities

• Operate 4- and 5-axis HMCs, including automation where applicable
• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and customer specifications for one-off and short-run
• Load materials, secure parts, change tools, set offsets
• Make tool wear and work offsets adjustments; ensure part accuracy
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, CMM; review CMM reports
• Maintain clean, safe work area per 5S; document work/production reports
• Troubleshoot machining issues and improve processes
• Assist continuous improvement to reduce setup time and scraps
