Job summary

ABM is seeking a Commercial HVAC Technician – 3rd Year Apprentice to support operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial HVAC and mechanical systems in the Newark, NJ area. Working under Journeyperson supervision, you will perform increasingly complex service tasks while progressing through the union apprenticeship program.

Candidates must demonstrate safety, quality workmanship, reliability, customer service, and a commitment to ongoing technical development as you advance

Qualifications

• Developing proficiency in commercial HVAC troubleshooting and repair.
• Understanding refrigeration cycles, electrical fundamentals, airflow, hydronic systems and mechanical components.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Ability to recognize equipment problems and elevate complex issues.
• Communicate equipment conditions and repair needs clearly.
• Dependable attendance and willingness to learn from experienced technicians.
• Commitment to completing the apprenticeship program toward Journeyperson status.
