Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Forest City, NC is seeking a skilled Welder for the 3rd shift to support our manufacturing operations. You will read blueprints, set up components, and weld using various methods while adhering to safety and quality standards.

You should be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, performing inspections, and contributing to maintenance and continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• Read blueprints and drawings to plan welds.
• Weld components using TIG or MMA in various positions.
• Set up welding equipment per specifications.
• Maintain safety and perform quality inspections.
• Proven welder experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Weld components using manual or semi-automatic equipment.
• Perform quality inspections on welded surfaces and structures.
• Maintain equipment in safe working condition.
• Follow safety procedures and report hazards or injuries.
• Support maintenance and continuous improvement activities.
