Job summary

Sun Steel Treating Inc. in Michigan seeks a Vacuum Heat Treater to setup and monitor furnaces, load and unload furnaces, follow safety rules, and work per the daily production schedule. The role supports both independent and team work on a 3rd shift with a 40-hour week.

Heat treating experience is preferred but compensated by training; HS diploma required. The position is full-time with benefits after eligibility as described and is open to applicants from the South Lyon area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Frequent bending, stooping, standing and reaching.
• Heat treating experience preferred, but not required; will train.

Responsibilities

• Setup and monitor furnaces
• Load and unload furnaces
• Follow safety rules and procedures
• Follow daily production schedule and job tickets
• Ability to work with others or independently
• Perform other duties as instructed by manager/supervisor
• Keep work area clean and orderly
• Willing to work 40 hours per week on 3rd shift
