Cooper-Standard Automotive, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Toolmaker – Tool Room to set up and operate machine tools, and to repair or manufacture dies, molds, gauges, and fixtures with complex designs.
The role requires reading blueprints, precise tolerances, and a high level of manual dexterity. Typical candidates have 5–7 years in a tool room and journeyman tool & die status is preferred.
Toolmaker – Tool Room
$34.50 per hour
Set-up and perform machine and bench operations necessary to make, alter, or repair tools, jigs, fixtures, dies, molds, or gauges of complex design.
Performs a variety of operations at a high skill and a wide variety of operations at moderate skill. Works from blueprints, diagrams, or samples to very close tolerances.
High school graduate with (2 years vocational school training in machine tool technology a plus). 5-7 years tool room experience preferably in a manufacturing facility. Journeymen Tool & Die preferred.
Walking, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting 60+ lbs.
