Job summary

Caterpillar Lafayette is seeking a Stores Controller for 3rd shift to manage receipt and unloading of materials used in assembly. You will order materials, monitor inventory, and coordinate material flow with production schedules in a climate controlled environment.

The role requires forklift/tow truck operation, strong communication skills, and experience with inventory systems. 3rd shift hours are 10:30pm–6:30am; relocation assistance is not offered.

Qualifications

• Qualified to safely operate a forklift and tow truck.
• Experience with EIMS, Visual Factory ISS, and MESA systems.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Must be safety-conscious and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Receiving and unloading material to support assembly.
• Ordering material to ensure availability and production flow.
• Oversee inventory and material flow across shifts.
• Communicate with shifts, machine shop, assembly, dispatchers and truck drivers.
